Woman who filmed herself strangling her 1 YO child with rope allowed to keep child

Quote:A Thai woman has been cautioned by police after she filmed herself hanging her one-year-old son by the neck in order to force her husband to pick up his phone.

Nareumon Jampasert, 28, issued a chilling warning to her husband in the video, threatening to kill their son if he did not come home.

Police in Bangkok arrested Ms Jampasert, but she was released shortly afterwards with a spokesperson calling the incident a 'family disagreement'.

The video of Ms Jampasert was posted online by worried family members after she sent it to her husband.

It shows her speaking into the camera and holding up her son, Theeradej Saisupan with a black rope already tied around his neck.

She then briefly suspends the little boy in the air in front of the camera, with the boy squealing in pain before she lets him go.

Addressing her husband Jakrit Saisupan, 32, she says: 'You see, Joe. You care about people a lot. This is your son. This is a rope.

'Look at him. He not dead. I have not killed him yet. Look at him. I will take him to die somewhere. You have to wait to see me today.

'If you don't come back to take him, you have to wait to see what happens today. You don't answer your phone, yeah?'

Ms Jampasert then sent the sickening video to Mr Saisupan, who passed it on to his sister and mother in a desperate attempt to get someone to the family home to help his son.

They in turn posted it online in a desperate bid to raise the alarm amid fears the boy could be harmed, sending police to the flat on Friday afternoon.

Ms Jampasert was arrested while the boy was given a health check by paramedics.

She reportedly broke down in tears, telling officers that she had been suffering from stress because sales from her online shop had been low, and that she feared that her husband was seeing another woman because he was spending a lot of time at work.

She said: 'I'm hurting a lot. The first thing I was thinking was that I wanted to kill myself. I did this to the baby because I wasn't thinking, and I was emotional.

'In my heart I'm thinking my husband does not care about his son, does not care about his wife.

'I took the baby and I wanted to do something to make my husband hurt. I took the video and sent it to him.

'He sent to his sister and then they sent me a message to calm down and to not do this [harm the child]. After I spoke with his family it was OK, and me and the baby went to sleep.'

Police interviewed Ms Jampasert but said at a press conference that she would not be charged, as it was a 'family disagreement' and the boy's father said he did not want to take it further.

Lt Col Samat Gringaew said the baby did not have any injuries but would be checked again at hospital.

He added: 'We will not proceed with charges against the mother because if she goes to prison, who will take care of the child?'

But police said that social workers - who initially wanted to seize the child - would speak with the family to ensure it was safe for the baby to return home.

Idk about you, but having "stress from an online business" is one of the worst excuses for justifying strangling your infant child. Some crazy shit these days.

Damn this is all sorts of fucked, she not only made multiple threats through text and when that didn't get a reply she fucking pulls out here camera to record that. I've been under a lot of stress never made me want to hurt anyone else... unless its someone bitching at me.
