I want to create a search form, that when I type in a post/zip code, it will come up with the nearest 5 cities in order of closest to furthest.

I haven't a clue how to do this, and I can't seem to get very far googling it.

Any ideas on where to point me in the right direction?

Well I guess you could use Google Maps API.

I second this suggestion. The easiest and best solution.
