So my friend recently got scammed/hacked by some random guy buy giving him his cookie id on a csgo gambling site (gamdom.com). Apparently the scammer was able to steal all his credits by logging in or just tricking the website with his cookie id. I was just wondering what he probably did with the cookie id to be able to get into my friends account. Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this but i figured it had to do something with website hacking.

Probably, the scammer social engineerd your friend into giving him the content of the token cookie. When he has this cookie he can basically input it into his browser via an extension. And it would be like the scammer was logged in to your friends acc.
