Someone of you can encounter such error (connection failed or Application initializing error) while he wants to install the flash player from their online installer,this is happen to me, so, i decided to create a batch file for fixing such errors by downloading the uninstaller and uninstall all previous version and download the latest Adobe Flash Player with a full installation (offline installers) and install it silently and in the background.

I can explain to you how it works step by step if want 😉

1- The long code at the bottom is an icon of flash player.ico encoded in base64, so, i embeded it with my batch using the Certutil Utility that can let you encode and decode such things like this, perhaps, i will write a tutorial to explain more this method next time !

2- The script try for the first execution to create this icon and create with it a shortcut link on your desktop and re-launch it again to start it from its link to show the icon on the left side of the batch file.

3 -The script enter on the main program to download and install Adobe Flash Player plugins

4 - At the end of this script he show this message and redirect you on the help page of Adobe to check if this installation ended successfully or not :

Please Click on [Check Now] button to check if the latest Adobe Flash Player is installed successfully or not !

Really though nicely done. I have no use for it per say but it is always neat to watch people still develop in batch.

It's not only a batch file but it is a mixutre of batch powershell and vbscript 😉
I used a vbscript to extract this part from #StartIcon to #EndIcon in a temporary file so you got something like this :

This what we call the encoded file of our icon and we can easily generate it by decoding with certutil command

I used another funny vbscript too for listennig to radio station online while downloading and installing the main program (Adobe Flash player) to let the user be patient until this script finish his task

I used powershell, to show a BalloonTip notification
