You should read up a bit on how Bitcoins work. Then you will have an understanding of how long time it takes (and why it isn't instantly).

My upgrades took around 20 mins but it can take up to 24 hours in rare cases.

The transaction needs to confirm. The amount of time it takes to arrive depends on the transaction fee you used when sending the funds.

Give it a bit, it shouldn't be too long if you used default fees.
