Dawn - Ethical Hacking Cyber Course Student Recruitment
This recruitment is for Dawn's Cyber student course only.
Aims
- This course is aimed at providing those with an interest in cybersecurity // a comprehensive introduction to some of the main areas.
- This course is about bettering oneself in area that interests them.
- This course will get into some detail although it needs to be understandable by someone who knows little to nothing, so be the judge as to whether this is a course for you.
The course will likely cover topics including:
- Likely some small Linux intro
- Intelligence gathering
- Footprinting
- Vulnerability discovery/scanning
- Common vulnerabilities (XSS, SQLi etc.)
- MiTM attacks and the similar
- Metasploit
- Password attacks
- WiFi Pentesting
- Cryptography
You can apply by posting below, there is no format for applying, include what you want to include. Generally speaking, the longer your application, the better. I will actually be reading these one x one. Night Fury wanted me to pick a few people from recruitment 1 by ka$h, but upon reading some applications, I would like you to re-apply. I don't need a fancy layout. Just be genuine and keep it detailed. A good way to start is by listing what you know about what each subject consists of. Don't PM me your application. I will likely go over each application and deny and accept you manually so you will know the progress of your application.
An extra note, Night Fury would not like anyone with an open deal dispute to join our group, no matter skill level. Resolve your disputes before applying.

Why should we let you in?: - I think I should get a chance to be put into the Dawn Course because I want to learn some of the topics that are on the list and I'm a beginner and I don't know much knowledge into these topics. I'm a university student of Ryerson and I was thinking into taking computer science but I had such little knowledge but maybe if I could learn some details here and maybe I could take it to my school and also maybe this could be my future job as working for company to look for vulnerabilities on their website, etc. I hope that you guys reconsider me joining the Dawn Cyber Course I have a lot to learn from you guys and I have a lot of free time to complete all the task and courses for the whole year. I have low experience in Linux, I just used to use Kali to use to find vulns and try and practicing into hacking a website but I don't really get in far because I was motivated back then but now I'm really interested in it since there's someone to help me progress and reach success.
I'd like to be involved in this somehow. I have prior experience with Linux and not much else listed up there.
Either way, good luck with the recruitment.
This guy is making major milestones in his journey on HF when his account is not even 2 months old yet. From what I've seen him create thus far, he knows his trade well.
i'd like to join with this course, reason is i really like cyber security and eh.
maybe i can share something what i know too while learning new things
Hey there. I was previously in Dawn for the C++ course, but it seems that way the went of the dodo. Well, as my signature states I'm a network security student & privacy advocate; I'm currently wrapping up my first semester of formalized instruction, but I've been doing work in the field for about two years now. I'm certified in Python from Infinite Skills, with a certificate validation number available upon request, and I'm working on some bash scripting here and there.
I'd consider myself "intermediate" in the following categories: - Linux (Debian based, for the most part)
- Windows (Client Side; Server Side will be handled this upcoming semester.)
- BASIC Active Directory.
- Google Dorking
- SQL Injections
Let me know if you'd like any further information. Have a good one.
Moving on in life in such a way that doesn't include HF. HF allowed me to get into the security field and peaked my interest: I appreciate everyone's time, effort, and encouragement. If for some reason you have a means to message me outside HF, feel free to, but I won't be coming back.

Oh hey man this is sweet, can't believe I missed this starting up.
Great work oxid, really interested in seeing what comes of the Cyber section.
I'm L0-Kae, I'm under 25 and I'm from a cold place with hills.
I'd love an opportunity to join thee course as I have a passion for cyber security and a drive to learn anything i can to further my ultimate goal of making money threw what i can do with technology and cryptography.
I have a basic linux box with windows VM i use at home and a kali linux box coupled with a wifi-pineapple when i go out. I do this so i can practice the things i study in a practical sense when i'm out to see what i can see.
I'm no expert at anything yet really, thou i do have a basic understanding of everything on your list so i'd appreciate learning a lot more about all of them.

Linxy's Application
About Me
I am Linxy. an 18-Year Old computer enthusiast. I am a long-term (5 Years!) member of Hack Forums. Because computers have been a huge part of my life since I was young, I am currently enrolled in college for Computer Science with an emphasis in Cyber Security. I am in my freshman year which means I have a lot to learn and I believe this course will allow me to improve myself to a high extent at this time. I am currently in a Cyber Security organization at my college that does Capture The Flag Tournaments, ethical hacking classes, and certification trainings weekly. I am working toward my Network+ certification, and then after that my ISACA certification. This group will allow me to reach my goals for these certifications and will let me show some projects on my resume for the future.
Why I Love Cyber Security
Cyber Security is a fascinating subject - and it is a prime priority of the hacking section here at Hack Forums. I always question software, "How can we make this better?", in terms of security. This is why I am going to school for Computer Science and is an even bigger reason why I have chosen Cyber Security as my pathway. One of my personal goals is to make an anti-virus software and have a 5000+ membership base with it. I know that this gropu will help me reach out and accomplish this goal.
