Ebay scammers?

I'm trying to sell my iPhone 7 on ebay. It's the first item i've ever put on the site and i'm being bombarded with messages from people saying "is this still available? i need it as a gift for my son (or whoever it may be)". 2 of the users I responded to joined ebay today, and have since deactivated their accounts after my response. I've literally had 5 messages claiming they want to buy my phone right there and then, however, it's always for someone else, never themselves, and they never fail to mention this for some reason, as if i need to know who they're buying it for...

Not to mention their english & grammar is terrible, however they're supposedly from the uk 0.o

Is this some sort of ebay scam?
I'm assuming that you have it up for auction and that's why they don't just use the BIN?
I usually get these types of responses on Craigslist, not eBay.
Yeh they will ask for your email and then send you spoofed emails saying that you need to ship the iPhone to "release the money"
>Joined ebay today
That's a HUGE fucking redflag. I don't care if they're legit or not.

It's up for BIN @ £429.99.

This sounds reasonable actually. Defo not dealing with them.

I don't understand why they'd feel the need to message you in the first place if you have it as a BIN?
Even if they were to try to scam you, they wouldn't need to message you.
iPhone 7 for £430? That's absurdly low.

Exactly. that's what sparked my interest in the first place. But I just thought maybe it's something ebay users do to make sure they don't pay for an item that is sold.

Here's an example message from one of the users
