Php error HTTP ERROR 500 when I submit a button register.
do you have an htaccess file? its probably nothing wrong with this php script, normally 500 errors are an issue with how the server is handling the request.

What's in dbconnect.php? Also, there are so many bad code practices on this. MD5? Seriously? Plain-text password?

Then why have a password at all?
IIS and MS SQL may as well just use a C# backend

You should start your session at the VERY TOP with a conditional statement to check if it was already set before. Where you set your message, you could use
Code $message = <<<StrLabel
Blah blah blah,
Blah blah....
No tabbing is a must for the ending tag
StrLabel;
For testing your code use PHP Exceptions.

Why would you use Heredoc strings? Just makes it confusing

Here someone asked the same question. They gave a lot reasons I never thought of, like syntax highlighting. Aside from that it's a nice way to get around escaping your special characters.

Can you provide the dbconnect file, and encrypting is different from hashing.
