Python

Automated Python PW Cracker

I'm supposed to create a password cracker in python for a "science" fair" project but I know too little in python to do it myself. Can someone send me the list of strings used or teach me how?

that depends on what password you're trying to break, is it a login? A password hash? Need more information to help you.

I have created a few password cracking scripts for web logins and the like, my point was for anyone to help OP with there needs they actually need to state what they are.

Sorry, it's supposed to be able to crack a login. For example the email [email protected] is used and I know it's a 5 digit/char password without two factor authorization. I'm gonna generate a little password list using crunch so I'll already have a password list covered.

Then i would use robobrowser to try the passwords, look at it on github for details how to use it super simple. the 2 step you're gonna have a hard time getting around.

Ok, thank you!
On Kali Linux there are a lot of password crackers preinstalled. Just take a look how its written there. A bruteforce password cracker isn't hard to write. You just need to create a list of all letters on your keyboard and iterate through them. Of course you should implement some options e.g. you can select that you just want a-z and A-Z...
The same for a dictionary password cracker.

From the op I would assume they have to wrote their own tool.

also you miss out on learning if you always "use some tool"

I was planning on creating some little js bot but wanted to learn python so I figured why not try something else.

I thought about copy pasting the strings from hydra but of course I wouldn't learn anything, specially since I'm completely new to python.
