I never really understood how fidget spinners took off like they did. I mean, at first I thought it to be a pretty cool idea as I do fidget with my hands a fair amount (anxiety and copious amounts of caffeine) and thought this could - in some way - help. My kids have them so I had a go on one of theirs once and I was struck with the utter pointlessness of it all.
It never helped in the way I thought it would, in the chuffing slightest, so I put it down never to be lifted by my own fair hand again. Fast forward a fair few months and something comes in the post. My significant other had ordered the spinner's cuboid counterpart, the fidget cube and I am more than impressed.
The cube has helped massively with my fidgeting and fits nicely in one hand without the awkwardness of doing the same with it's evil yet boring, older brother. The cube features switches, a radio button, sliders and a mouse wheel (with clicker, I might add) and this abundance of options is a great way to keep those hands busy.
Would recommend and no, I'm not autistic.
