My laptop had a BSOD and when it restarted no sound was playing. Youtube, Spotify, iTunes, etc none of them are playing music. The system sounds aren't working either and my sound is all the way up to 100. I had tried updating the sound drive but still didn't work. When I right-click the sound icon on the task bar and try to use things such as the "Open Volume Mixer" nothing opens. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, rolling back the driver, etc but none of them had worked.
When my laptop had the BSOD, no error appeared. I haven't been running anything suspicious, etc. I was just working in Photoshop and the error occurred. I assumed it was because my laptop may have overheated which caused the BSOD but that's about all I can think of. Everything else works fine, just the sound isn't working.
I've tried using the troubleshooting program Windows has but it is still stuck on trying to find the error.
And when I try to open things such as typing in "Sound" and opening the option in settings in the start menu, nothing opens.
UPDATE: Got it fixed.
Not sure how to close this so yeah.
