I kinda like retina display on MacBook 2017 and that small design but I hate that it doesn't have any USB porn and camera is worst. Should I still get MacBook or go for MacBook air. Not looking for pro as I'll be buying a 4k mac for main work.

There are Lightning->USB adapters so if that's not an issue, it becomes a specs to price decision. I'd go with the MacBook 12" for the display.

I would go with a MacBook Pro all the way. But I do a lot of resource heavy stuff.
