Following that tutorial right here,  and well,  I apparently have not installed JDK 9 Correctly,  or I didn't set my paths right possibly?

PHP Code

<?php
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps;C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_151\bin;C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_151\include

Could someone walk my through of possible reason I messed it up so quickly?  Any help is appreciated.

javac is a command for the java compiler (JDK) which is not included in your version of java (JRE)
You must install java JDK to use the javac command
The JDK's can be found here
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/j...33151.html
Also you're using Java 8 not Java 9

What I downloaded was JDK-9.0.1x64 off of http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/j...48520.html

Retrying now,  making sure to allow all features and subfeatures of Public JRE Installed to C:\Program Files\Java

sucesfully installed and closed

javac still not working in cmd

in my java fold at program files there is JDK and JRE 9

Oh I set my a couple of my variables to my x86 program folder which has jdk 8 in it.

my new path:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-9.0.1\bin;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-9.0.1\include

well shit I fixed one problem but javac is still not recognized.

You might want to try adding; "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-9.0.1\bin\javac.exe"

Go to that folder and copy the link, just incase it is different. Then you want to close your command prompt, open it again and it should work.
What application are you running that it's saying javac is not recongnized?

Alright, edited my Path Variable to "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-9.0.1\bin;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-9.0.1\include;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-9.0.1\bin\javac.exe".

And it stills seems to be saying the same thing,  I was testing it out through Command Prompt by typing java -help, and javac -help

OP you're using %jdk%/include, but javac is in %jdk/bin. There is no compiler or other tools in %jre%/bin.

Lastly, have you tried the oldest trick in the book? (restarting)
