Having trouble when booting Kali Linux on Raspberry Pi 2

Right so basically I was given a Raspberry Pi from a friend of a friend and I think they said something about over clocking it and then it not working? But I install the Kali image file for Raspberry and write it to my SD card (32GB) and yes, I completely wiped SD card before writing Kali to it. However, when I then try boot up the Pi, I get this message on my screen:

[        2.860577] ---[ end Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init! exitcode=0x0000000b
[        2.860577]
[        5.264898] random: crng init done

The underneath this is just an underscore and nothing happens at all. Can someone please let me know what's wrong and how to fix it? Any suggestions are welcome, thanks.
Plug the SD card into your computer, mount it as r+w and then show me these files.
Code
/var/log/messages
/var/log/dmesg
XMPP: pm me
How do I mount it like that?

Do you have another computer that has an SD card slot?

It's mostly likely that their last install corrupted (happens frequently and randomly) or they simply broke it. Then their latest attempt to flash an image to the SD card failed. They may have also flash the wrong Kali image as there are images for different models.

SD cards, like USB cards, can also become corrupted at a lower level and require some special attention to fix. If the device mounts, this isn't the problem. Mind you, Linux file systems like ext won't appear in Windows by default.

tl;dr Download and flash another image onto the SD card.
