Im currently looking into getting new monitor for gaming. I currently use a MLG Edition Benq 2013 edition. I want somthing newer 24in or bigger and 1ms response time. My budget is 250. I play mostly Call Of Duty.
Thanks for your input.
Something with a low response time is pretty much all that matters. Anything over 60hz wont matter because of console and hdmi restrictions

Just get monitor that is the right size for you and make sure is has a 1ms response time.
no idea what I quoted that but i cbf fixing it either
Anything with a low response time and a high refresh rate.
120hz - 1ms should future proof you and is pretty affordable.

No console game runs over 60FPS, so the 120hz is wasted. Also doesnt HDMI limit refresh rate to 60hz?

Yes HDMI limits the refresh rate to 60hz. I got a 144hz and you can't go higher than 60 with HDMI.
What most of them said, anything with low refresh rate is good for most first-person shooter games.

he clearly stated for 'futurproof' -- if he wanna use the monitor for something else. like a new console that will go over 60 fps in about 10 years (xDxd)
or to use it for computer too...

don't use a damn pc monitor for console gaming. Buy a 4k uhd tv and either a newer ps4 or a xbox one s. I have a 4k tv but I need to get the one s because its not true native 4k right now on the older xbox ones

No I'm good. I'm currently using my friends 62in 4k and hate it. The difference is defiantly noticeable

I use my television...Any ol' $120 32 inch tv from BestBuy should work well.
HDMI limits to 60hz so it doesn't really matter. If you want a good looking monitor that can be 144hz if you play PC look for like an ASUS 24" 144hz Monitor. Maybe you could get a HDMI -> DVI splicer with a 144hz monitor and that may give you 144hz, but I doubt it.
Only use HF to deal.
i copped a $200 LG 1ms, motion blur reduction gaming monitor for about $200 AUD at a store in Australia called JBHIFI
How do you guys feel about curved Moniters?
