Technically they are considered sailor soldiers but I believe Spoiler (Click to View)usagi/sailor moon is the Messiah -- pretty sure, can't 100% confirm since I haven't finished

Sailor Moon is a great classic if you don’t mind shoujo anime.

No Game No Life has Tet the God. Sora and Shiro have to compete in different games/races in order to compete against Tet and become God’s of the realm. Could be mistaken, been so long since I’ve seen it.

He hosts a tournament, a battle to the death between 12 future diary users, winner becomes the new god of space and time. I don't wanna say too much in-case you haven't seen it, don't wanna spoil it but its one of my favorite anime.
