Not sure where to post this but I need a powered USB hub for my raspberry pi 3, I'd be using a wifi adaptor, keyboard and mouse with the hub. Does anyone know if this one would work? http://www.argos.co.uk/product/3387225 or if you know of a cheaper one I could use, please post!
thanks
Usually a powered hub means one that draws its power from an Outlet, rather than the device itself, which isn't the case with this one.
Either way, Belkin is a good quality brand, and the things you mentioned (Wifi Adaptor, Keyboard and Mouse) Do not require a high amount of power from your device, so they should work just fine with this :)

I've tried connecting the wifi/keyboard/mouse into the pi, but it's not supplying enough power for the wifi adaptor to turn on. I've just been reading the q/a's about the belkin hub and from what I've read "it's powered by USB port only and does not come with a power supply"
Should I look at getting a different one?
Thanks for the help

Then, like I said, the one you linked is NOT a powered Hub. It's a USB one. I still don't see how the pi couldn't handle all of those 3 connected with no issue whatsoever. Hell, even a Pi Zero probably could. What is your wifi adapter?
Powered USB hubs (At least the good ones, which I would recommend, especially if it's for a Pi), are more expensive. Anker is a good brand to look for them, they have a multitude of Powered Hubs :)

I'm using a TP-Link TL-WN722N V2.0, I've also tried it with just the ethernet cable and power supply plugged in and it still doesn't turn on. I've tested on a win10 laptop and it works fine. I'll have a look at anker now, thanks!
I've been using this one with my pi for the past few months and it has worked fine for me.

Just about any powered USB hub will work for your needs. You may not need it if you power supply is 2A+. See how to increase the current limitation of the USB ports. I've used a mouse, keyboard, and WNIC on my Rpi1, 2, & 3 without problems. (Rpi1 require modifications.)
