[READ HERE] Solutions to slow or unconfirmed Bitcoin transactions

Well since the average user here can’t grasp the concept of bitcoin transactions recently and need to make their own separate thread, I’ll help explain below.

Q. Will my bitcoin transaction confirm?
A. Probably, but it will take days or a week+ during this back log EVEN WITH a high fee sometimes.

Q. How do I know if I sent a good fee?
A. Use this website: https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/

Q. How can I avoid fees?
A. You really can’t, even if the wallet pays for your fee it’ll still probably be delayed. Deal with it.

Q. How do I make my transaction confirm?
A. 1. If it has been a week+, rebroadcast here: https://blockchain.info/pushtx
    2. Go here 1 minute before the hour and fill out the information. Once it is the new hour quickly submit your transaction. https://pool.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/
    3. Try asking another member to push your transaction.
    4. Read my Tutorial here for more technical information. (Note I don’t recommend this method at this current time) https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=5625650

Q. Why do I have a higher fee than the amount I am sending?
A. Because the network is clogged. People are paying higher fees and getting to the front. More and more people are doing this and causing even more of a back log for lower fees.

Q. When will my transaction time out?
A. Depends on the wallet you used. You may want to ask the service to stop broadcasting your transaction if it has been a long time.

Q. My bitcoin is still unconfirmed from withdrawing or depositing an exchange, what can I do?
A. Understand there is a back log. Opening a ticket to support will NOT help. Unless it has been 1-2 Weems.

Q. Can I change the fee to higher?
A. Depends on the wallet. Even if you can, it’s not worth trying anymore at this point.

Q. My exchange has disabled withdrawals/deposits/registration, help!
A. Tough luck butter cup. Just be patient. https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

Q. How can I sell my bitcoin without sending it?
A. Try to find an exchange with a wallet you can import your private key into. Don’t use that key again.

Q. How can I avoid this??
A. Easy. Don’t use legacy transactions or use Ethereum or BCH.

Hopefully people can stop asking the same question. Any questions not answered post them below.
Thank you for sharing, useful.

You need to get the hex..

Do ?format=hex at the end of the blockchain txid link then copy the hex and paste it into the broadcaster.
So, i have 530$ on one of my wallets (jaxx) and if i wanted to send it all i would have to pay a 70$ fee. What is better; to send it all right now to an exchange and trade it for ETH or wait till the fees go down a little and then do that?
Awesome post on crypto , much appreciable

Depends. Do you want to spend $70 to do that and exchange now, or risk it getting stuck while bitcoin could potentially drop a lot? Not something I can answer.
Bringing this back up because people don’t bother tonresearch and just like to butch and complain.
Updated a tiny bit. Hope this helps.
I didn’t notice until your last post that this thread is from 2017. This is so useful right now. The whole fees thing came out ok back then. Do you think that now it will affect BTC negatively? I’m talking about price and use preference.

I don’t believe the amount of unconfirmed transactions or fees will have an effect on the price very much. Transactions are down a little but not significantly: https://www.blockchain.com/charts
