[Sui Generis] Quick Selection Tool

Q&A:

Q: What is the Quick Selection Tool?
A: It's a great and easy tool to cut out specific parts of an image like a person, an object, etc.

Q: Why should I use this over the pen tool?
A: The Quick Selection Tool quickly selects the best portion of your object, person, etc. It's much faster and more clean.

Q: What if there are some left over parts of the background image near my object I just cut out?
A: You would have to use the Eraser Tool and zoom in really close so you can get each particle, just don't rush it and you'll be fine.

I will be providing some images to show how to use it and what it will do so you all have a better understanding.

Tutorial:

1. First you want to do is find an image and what you want cut out of the image. Once you place the image on photoshop, Rasterize the Image Layer.
On the right side, you right click your image, and you can see "Rasterize Layer."
You will want to click that then we can move onto step 2.

2. Once you have Rasterized the Layer, click on the Quick Selection Tool on the top left of photoshop then just hold the left click button on your mouse
while hovering over the part of the image you want cut out. Once you have done that, hold CTRL+J to copy the image then you can delete your background image that you Rasterized since you won't need it anymore.

3. When you have successfully cut out your image, use the Eraser Tool and make sure you have it hardened so you don't accidentally cut out part of your image to make it transparent. I would highly recommend zooming in a lot by holding ALT then scrolling up. That will zoom you in and to zoom out, hold ALT and scroll down. It's a lot faster to do that instead of clicking on the Zoom Tool. Once you're zoomed in, just mess with the size of your Eraser Tool and cut out the parts that shouldn't be on your Object or whatever image you cut out.

4. Once you have perfected your cut out image by Erasing everything not needed in the image, right click with your mouse button on the image on the right side of Photoshop then click on Blending Options and add a black stroke so you can see some parts you missed with the Eraser Tool. You don't have to zoom in to delete them since they're a bunch of black dots. Once you have Erased all the black dots, you can disable the black stroke then continue making on what you dreamed to make.

Hope this Tutorial helped everyone, good luck!
