My sister isn't comfortable with her art, but I convinced her to sell some.

What would you price some of her work?

Her art is truly amazing, you should buy her a Wacom tablet as a birthday gift. I'm certain she would be able to make a lot of money by working online as a freelance graphics artist.

Appraisal for Art from my Sister


Product Quality and Originality: Art is always something that is hard to price as each person has a different view of the value of each and every piece. Personally I view the above artwork as fairly good for someone I expect is still young. The first painting in particular i do personally like due to the vastness of space it represents, while also at the same time capturing something beautiful about our world and universe. The other two are a bit more tame to me, but i like the detail and use of color in them.

Appraisers Suggested Retail Price: The 1st artwork picturing the whale I would price at around $20-30. The other two I would price at $5-10. These are the prices i would expect for them at a general online auction, such as Ebay for example.

What kind of review is this? Jesus fucking christ.... I expected much more of a detailed review instead of basic perspective, and appraisals without reasoning from an "APPRAISALS" member.

Your very direct and informal with your review. You seem to have us expect the previous sentence of "That being said i can see..." has some form of context, and it literally doesn't even flow with the sentence before. It has no relationship with the sentence before and seems as if it relates to a whole nother' claim. You don't even properly capitalize your "i's."

Now with your suggested price, it seems as if you don't back up or provide ANY form of reasoning as to why you would price it the way you want it to. I know you damn well don't have any form of knowledge in art, but AT LEAST provide SOME or ANY form of reasoning. Even a simple, "The streak of purple that flows diagonally seems random, and there is quite an abundant amount of stars that do not correlate with the shape of the stars that create the whale. However, seeing this done by a young girl who aspires to create graphics and has a lot to learn, it seems as if she has reached a remarkable milestone that will lead to more."

hmm well i am sure i can detail it more to a degree. and yes i do not have any knowledge of "art" at all. but since basically everything else in this section was already appraised, i thought i might as well try this.
