Chrome sessions

Does google chrome auto expire sessions after a certain amount of time?

I was under the impression that with all browsers, as long as you keep the tab open, to where you were logged into, (and the website permits it), that the session will stay active so you don't have to log in again.

The website I created doesn't auto expire sessions, rather, leave it up to the browser when it wants to let the session go.
I've never had to log in after a certain amount of time, as long as that tab is open.

Now, I was using Chrome, and after going AFK and coming back, it's asking me to login again.

So yeah, does chrome auto expire sessions?
Tell yo' paps you love'm while he here.
Never experienced this, I don't think the Chrome does remove session cookies unless you've changed your settings, it takes the information from websites cookies, but there's extensions that make action in background to prevent your session from being closed.

Interesting topic, hopefully someone with more experience regarding Chrome browser can explain it.
