Ryzen+ vs Intel power consumption

I keep hearing people scream
>Muh Power consumption
>Muh TDP

Intel & AMD both calculate TDP differently it is not power consumption.

Gaming is a great indicator of normal power consumption
2700x = 55.7
8700k = 66.8 or 20% higher
7820X = 80.5 or 45% more power than the 2700x at same boost clock, same core/thread count.

Prime 95 stress test worse case scenario.
2700x = 105 Watts
8700k = 160 Watts or 50% more power consumption.
7820x = 180.5 or 75% more power than the 2700x.

Thank you for pointing out TDP is not power consumption, a lot of people still misunderstand this.. They are related but not the same. It would be great if you can make a thread explain both these concepts in more details.

While I agree alot of people misunderstand they are different, it would be a short thread for just the difference. A better thread would be the difference AND how AMD and Intel calculate them differently, well since Ivy Bridge anyways...

OP has shown some knowledge so I would be very interested in a thread like this.
