So, I wrote a blog post on medium.com after applying for the partner program(they pay you depending on how well your posts perform), it took me around 15 minutes to write the single article*, and it generated over $1100 in April. I'm only sharing this here because I was not expecting it at all.



*learning to write well-performing articles took me a while, but it's compound effort so it pays off :)

I write about business/startups/productivity/tech/personal development with quite a unique attitude towards management, it might just make it impossible for me to ever find a job again, but I don't want one anyway.

This is the single best performing article I've had:(it's the one with 38K views, and in total 15K claps) I have others at 1-5k views, but they generated max $30-$50.

I just wrote and boom.

1) the title is 90% of the article, and to figure out what titles work/don't work took some testing and investigation
2) I wrote about something everyone is thinking about but nobody says

The biggest factor, I'd say, is that it's a short article and easy to share with friends, and everyone shared it A LOT on twitter and such, eventually, the medium algorithm picked it up and it was also a staff pick and featured on the homepage.

This, by the way has one goal: to build an audience. I plan to share more about this on my site eventually(it's sadly a bit neglected).

Insane earnings, didn't know that you could make so much off writing articles. Might have to try this out myself.
