[Out of topic] BG Player PLAY STORE

Greetings guys.

I know I am in wrong section, but I need some advices from Programmers and not Designers, gamers. :)

I have seen this app in play store since a month :
play.google .com/store/apps/details?id=com.music.bgplayer&hl=en

I know that this app caches youtube videos, and plays them in backround.

I wonder why google is not banning this app from their store, but even it shows in Top Ranking #1 as Media Player.

Best Regards.
It says right there in the description:
Quote:Playing music in lockscreen is not allowed in order to respect YouTube's Terms of Use. Player BG is a music streaming app, not a downloader, and cannot play your own mp3 files.

Hello. But if you download the app, then it does totally different thing.

It can download videos from youtube and plays them as music. Then u can also use it offline with all cached videos

The description is not true.

You can play from lock screen and even download vid3os.

This is ITube and renamed to Bg Player.

I have developed an app which does almost the same thing but with more features and I wish to upload it too in Play store.

Well it can do that but not be a "downloader". A "downloader" allows you to download videos to MP4 or MP3 format and save them to a location you specify. A cache for a YouTube streamer is different as it is not meant to be used in the same way. Look at Spotify; Spotify also downloads the songs to your device but their intent is not to have users extract the audio files and use them where they want.
Theres a chance, especially if it's in google's play store, that they just got past the rules temporarily.
I've seen straight rip offs of games pass, only later to get removed
Thanks for your replies guys.

I made an application in Xamarin C# for Android which also can Cache Audios or Videos from Youtube.
It can be used to browse videos, channels, playlist, homepage of youtube etc...

They do not appear never on Gallery since they are stored with different filename and extension.

Do you think it will worth if I try to publish it on playstore and use advertising so I can get some downloads.
The app is really nice one which took me more than 5 Months to complete.

The trick of "making it big" on the appstore is to offer something different, or at least look really appealing. Stand out, else people will use the trusted apps with 1 million downloads since they offer the same features.

You will get downloads but that's the easy part. Be careful with ads if you're aiming viral, you don't want to disrupt the listening experience with annoying interstitials or deceptive ads. Depending on your implementation, don't block all ads served from YouTube itself either or they will come down much harder on you.

Do you know any way how to now block the ads, since I use HTML Parser to get only the data and stream link.
