Missing directory in new Kali install

As the title says it turns out I have a missing directory in a new Kali install. I did some research; apparently using the wrong file path can lead to some unintended file relocations. Sorry if that's too vague. But it didn't seem to apply as I hadn't really done anything before today. But the "Desktop" directory should be a default one.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

It also doesn't help that everything I could find about this subject is at least 3 years old.
