Access Backdoor Shell On A Website

Hello, i'm trying to hack a website and i successfully bypassed the upload form so i'm able to upload shells. The problem i have now is i can't access the shell, when i go to the path i uploaded the shell (EG: site.com/image/shell.php) it prompts me to download the shell instead of loading the shell content. I'm able to access html and jpg files normally but when i'm trying to view executable files like php, phtml, aspx, etc it downloads the file instead of executing it. Is there any way to bypass this and access the shell?

NB: I can't upload a new .htaccess cause the site renames all uploaded files to {randomnumbers}.{fileextension} so if i upload a htaccess it'll be 74747474.htaccess

Thanks in advance.
No. The shell has to be in a directory that is running PHP.
