I use Gimp and Inkscape to design web-images.
There are a lot of tutorials on YouTube

Adobe XD for prototyping, then Photoshop for finishing touches/final production :)

I love using Illustrator too when I can.

Pretty sure photoshop is how most efficient GFX designers make their graphics :)
