Does amazon scan the serial numbers on anything leaving their warehouse? I ordered two sticks of RaM and was curious if they would scan the serial numbers on the way out.

I would assume they keep track of all serial numbers/labeled products shipped out but not sure.
I would think they keep up with everything serial numbers and upc's
Trying to return some broken RAM? ;)
They might, not sure tho. Shipped and sold by them then probably yes. FBA then maybe.

Even if they did though i cant suppose they can prove i swapped it. Ups could have as well. I already have them sending me a new set i just have to send the originsl back hence why i am wondering.

Doesn't RAM just have stickers for the serial number? Can't swap those around?

A lot of RaM doesnt even have serial numbers. I am unsure if Corsair RaM does or not. But if thry dont track the serial numbers it wouldnt matter anyhow.

Might be under the heat spreaders or something, but I doubt they'd go that far to look lol
Ripping off amazon is not allowed to be talked about here :( Shooting you a pm though
Typically not. They aren't really required to, and if you wanted to file a warranty claim at that point they would have a record of when it was sent so they would have to go by that date instead of when it was made which the serial is meant for. It just makes the warranty process harder for you.

They likely would do this just because Amazon is very keen on logistics and their tracking system in particular. I'm sure it's been scanned at some point through the shipment procedure back at the warehouse.
