Some of you might be familiar with the scam report i posted against https://hackforums.net/member.php?action...uid=676894
The thing is i took for granted that he is Ub3r and that he has a reputation. He asked for BTC which is right away nail in the coffin because you can't refund that yourself.
Now after i paid he stopped replying etc, so i started browsing hes threads and ONLY THEN i found that he is a scammer. Lots of people posted comments that he is owing to them money, and he was just ignoring those posts. But this is not a thread about scam report, it is just to pay attention to mistakes that i made.
My tips for new people here are:
- No matter if he is ub3r, L33t or whatever, always check hes previous deals from the thread, and threads before, like 80% people are good and won't scam you, but there is always some garbage that will take the chance because you are new and you don't have anyone to back you up.
- Guy that scammed me was selling 10 different services: Hes professional in SEO, in GFX, selling books on how to become very rich, facebook tips etc
^ This right away should be a trigger that he is struggling on making cash and that in one point he will probably scam someone.
- Once they scam you they will stall or not talk to you at all, so best idea possible is to screenshot conversations and report them here, and you will see that you will get their attention only then!
- Biggest mistake i made was probably the one that i didn't ask for hes portfolio, he never showed me previous work so i couldn't even know if he is what he is. Always demand some sort of proof of services.
- Most people won't believe you, because you got no rep and you got no posts, so as i said use your truth, screenshot it and post it so everyone can see.
- Talk with hes previous customers that got scammed as well (if there are any), make a group and attack him at once, the more people take a role to better.
Hope that this helps to someone who will in future encounter scammers, be prepared and always pay attention to details.
