I was suspicious of this user since the beginning, saw 2 scam reports by his name, asked him about them and he said it was a paypal issue that ended up being resolved. My gullable self believed him and decided since his rep was so high, I might as well give him a try. Paid 20$ paypal for a L33T upgrade. He said he received my money and paid for the upgrade. I then asked him for proof on his behalf and he just stopped replying. Must of sent him another 7 PM's and now he added me too his ignore list. This new rep system is so misleading, scammers are just buying rep. Never knew this is what HF would turn into.

Yeah man you can't trust users by their rep, user bar...or anything. A mentor was recently banned.

Also for future reference people like to tax BTC for PP for whatever reasons so unless it's like your friend or something you can draw the deal as shady from the start if they will do a straight up exchange like that.

Before rep reset,he wanted to buy my fortnite account,i searched for his UID before dealing,and I didn't want to trade w him due to his open scam reports.
After telling him this,he -repped me just because i did not want to trade with him,and he used to -rep everyone who did not want to deal w him.

Even before when you couldn't get rep so easily it was still not a sign of trust, there's been high rep people scamming and scammers buying high rep accounts to scam others since forever. Search for UID and check for any scam reports, if it's high amount of money then use MM.

You never used to be able to purchase rep,it was against HF policy. HF changed their policies, which led a flood of scammers on to the forum. I know I made a mistake, but I promise you that I am not the only one. Many people are being scammed lately, and the REP change does not help it at all.
