Title.

I'm looking for one to store my files (mainly videos and pdf) so that I can access it from my devices easily.

I'm considering OneDrive. Do these providers have access to read/download your files or are there any customer privacy right etc?

[N]

Not sure about OneDrive, I just back everything like videos/photos etc to iCloud if I have too, if not I just keep em on an external.

I use Google Drive normally but Dropbox is pretty good.

All providers will scan the content you upload. They do it under the guise of improving compression, preventing illegal content uploads, analytics, etc. It's all in the privacy agreement you consent to before signing up. It's up to you to encrypt anything you don't want scanned prior to uploading it.

I use Google Drive for smaller files (documents mostly). It's very convenient. For larger files (pictures, videos), I have a dedicated drive at home that I access remotely if needed. It works out better this way instead of paying Google/Microsoft for storage space.

I usually use mega.nz and sometimes Dropbox.

[AeroBlue]

I don't really use online storage much but if I'm sending a big file I usually use Dropbox. I probably would use something else but haven't spent the time to research better options.

How is Mega compared to Dropbox? Mega has more space, right?

[Enronitis]

Usually use my own storage server or Google drive.

How is Mega compared to Dropbox? Mega has more space, right?

In terms of the free plans:
Dropbox comes with 2GB
Mega comes with 50GB
You can always upgrade if you need more space.

My personal preference is Google Drive, it's trustworthy and easy to access from any device.

[Enronitis]

Is Mega secure at all?
No, right?

Setup a small server
probably worth it
