Creating A Personal Portfolio Site | HTML/CSS or Wordpress?

I have been thinking now for a while I would like to create my own website for a personal portfolio but im not sure weather it would be best to create one using HTML/CSS/JS or Wordpress.

The portfolio will include
  • Created Programs

  • Reports

  • Created Websites

  • Businesses I Run (Past and Present)

  • Possibly CV/Resume

  • I will add more to it as my portfolio expands

Please answer the poll above and post your reasons for such answer, Im really interested to hear because i cant decide myself.
If you are doing a portfolio for front/backend dev don't even bother building it in wordpress... Include wordpress examples in your portfolio if you plan to offer that as a service but i wouldn't build your portfolio with it. I hope i dont need to say reasons why its a bad idea :)

Thanks for your response, I think I have decided on not using Wordpress.
For me WP would be better.

I would recommend octopress, but its seems to be outdated.
Take a look at jekyll (https://jekyllrb.com) or hexo (https://hexo.io)
Wordpress is good if you want a bigger site or if the content is often changing or the content needs to be changed by someone or some ppl who have no idea about HTML/CSS. For things like the one you described HTML/CSS/JS is perfectly fine (there are a bunch of easy to use frameworks, like Bootstrap).
You see, Doctor, God didn't kill that little girl. Fate didn't butcher her and destiny didn't feed her to those dogs.
If God saw what any of us did that night he didn't seem to mind. From then on I knew... God doesn't make the world this way.
We do.

Hes saying for a PORTFOLIO site.. Using wordpress should never be an option if you are making a dev portfolio. As i said above, if you plan to offer wordpress as a service then use examples of wordpress sites you have created inside your portfolio.

The whole idea of a portfolio is to show off your skill set. Using wordpress certainly doesn't do that.
Building it from scratch in any impressive way you can would be a showcase of your skills- as well as the portfolio content.
Wordpress is not security , every does exploit the database of it
The only scenario in which you should use WordPress is if you decided to publish any content or have an easy way to manage the content on your site. Otherwise, for design purposes, use HTML and CSS to design your site. I'd recommend bootstrap as well.
