Cleaned my PC and now my CPU temps are 90-105c!

Long story short i cleaned my PC last night with an air duster and a damp cloth. After cleaning it and turning my PC on my CPU temps have been between 90c-105c (180f-210f)

All the lights on my kracken x62 are on, and all case fans are running full speed including the fans on the rad. Im lost as to whats the issue. i entered my bios also and temps start at 40c and slowly climb and climb every few seconds.

Edit: i removed the x62 and put on my stock cooler and temps are fine (im using the old thermal paste that was left on the CPU once i removed the x62)

Edit: plugged the x62 back in (not attached to the CPU just the power) and opened CAM software and turned the pump to 100% and i can feel it running so i dont think the pump failed

Do you guys have any idea what the issue would be?

Did you take the X62 off of the CPU when you were cleaning?
What are you checking temperatures with?

nope i left everything as is. only thing i did was tilt the case to the side a little so i could remove the dust filter on the bottom. and i checked with HWMonitor and in my BIOS

Wait - so you cleaned your PC and the temps went up?
One thing to point out, you NEVER want to use a damp cloth to clean your PC. If anything, get 90% alcohol, put a small amount on a rag to where it's not even damp and then use that. Also before diving into your PC, touch the side of it to ground yourself. I know it's something silly, but can help prevent and static damage.

So just the water pump/liquid cooler seems to be failing to keep your PC cool but the regular stock cooler works and keeps it cool? Did you attempt to clean where any connections are for the x62?

i didnt touch anything with the damp cloth that would be bad. only the plastics like the fans/case ect. And yeah i cleaned everything. i plugged the x62 power in just so i can use the software to turn the pump to 100% and it seems to be working as i can feel the pump working and then liquid temps go down also. really lost as what it could be if the pump works and fans work.

I would suggest cleaning up the thermal paste on the CPU and replacing it with something like Arctic MX-4 and then mounting your X62.
Besides that, I have no idea what the issue is if according to you, the pump is working.

yeah the only thing i could think is that the software got messed up somehow when i shut down my PC and made the pump stop working when i hooked everything back up. i just ordered some thermal paste and will test that.

Add more rpm speed or put more fans
Edit: tried new thermal paste, same result. i have no idea what would be causing this. when i have the x62 plugged in with my stock cooler on, and i open the software it says my pump in running, so im not sure why its not cooling. Has anyone went through nxzt's rma process before?

Download some other software. Software doesnt really measure exact temp it just speculates(based on fan model, rpm, cpu model etc). It could be that by removin fan etc software fucked up or smth. Reinstall it or try some other software.

i checked temps via bios and hwmonitor. I didnt remove anything until i was forced to put on the stock cooler, with the stock cooler attached i hooked up the x62 and everything was running on their software but for some reason its not cooling the cpu

Not true, a lot of software does read the temps from probes built into the CPU.

So with the stock cooler the temps are normal? but with the X62 they are out of control?

Sounds like a faulty pump or a blocked tube or rad. With the X62, when the temps are high if you feel the rad does it feel warm? like the heat is transferring to the rad through the coolant? It could be the impeller is defective and not flowing but the heat should still saturate the loop.

Either way it does sound like a problem with the unit so I would contact the vendor if possible or NZXT if not for an RMA.
Maybe your pump died?

It's really weird, remove all the kraken x62 and try to do a ''new install''
If one tube near the cpu is very hot and one is very cool that means your pump is dead i mean extreme difference in temperature
