How has being a computer person made you a better person?

Computers help us with a lot of activities. There's so much awesome programs, tools, and platforms for us to create. Computers also give us qualities and skills that we could use in our real lives. Name something that being a computer user helped you with in real life.

I'll go first. Well being a computer and internet user helps me with new technology. I started using computers since I was about 5-7 years of age, somewhere around there. So I am very used to technology and I'm good with new gadgets and tech that come out.

So, how has being a computer user made you a better person?
Computers didnt help me at all it just ruined my penis because of porn sites tbh I'm ED...
It did not specifically make me a "better" person ethically, but it taught me how to make money, I learned a lot about English reading/writing/speaking (technical/computer wise) as im not a native English speaker. Also I can help non-computer people with some issues.

Just do NO PORN brah, that thing will be pitching tents in no time
I don't know about making me a better person, but I found that Linux and the OpenSource community gave me a passion in life.

So something else to do with my time other than toss it off watching porn and playing EU4
Understanding how it works and be able to surf the web and learn more.
Mostly I use computer for work so I have no idea to be honest.

Interested in knowing more. I'm really keen to start contributing to open-source projects but can't really find my place so to speak. What is it you do in linux and open-source aspects?
i should just toss out my computer and technology outside my window i literally cant get my penis up anymore cus of too much masturbation...
Sometimes I move around like a robot person, and occasionally do the "robot-dance" on purpose, because I'm so used to using computers.

I've recently moved over to devops role after being linux engineer for a few years. As for the opensource I find the best thing for getting involved is finding local groups that are of interest to you. I go to my local Docker meetup, also have a LUG (Linux User Group) close by, and most large towns and cities will have a MadLab/HakLab. Most of these groups apart from just having meetups have hackathons which are brilliant for learning to code in a group, you'll meet guys that are passionate about their tech and love to teach what they know (also lot of these groups have sponsors, so free food and beer lol).
