I still have ~100 32MB flash drives laying around from a past project and nothing really to do with them.
Does anyone ever mess around with USB dropping? I kind of want to mess around and place some flash drives somewhere. Any ideas on what to write and then throw on them?

I have never heard of this being done but actually seems like a cool social experiment to do, but only 32MB??!!?

i still have a bunch of 512mb drives laying around haha, albeit 32 is a lot smaller
theyre easy to find online though, just search ebay, you can get them for real cheap.
ive always wanted to play around with this, just embedding drives around my town. not even as a social experiment, but just like filesharing sounds cool as fuck.
also, id want to start a scavenger hunt kind of thing. would be really nice and actually make something interesting around here.
or, if you're an asshole, put badUSBs around in those dead drop spaces lmfao

Yeah I had them ordered to distribute scripts across computers that don't have an internet connection. At the time it was the cheapest/most efficient way for the project. Good ole sneakernet.

Efficiency is a bit below 70%, not too bad.
I actually bought some cheap components for a rubber ducky type project, my plan was actually to put those in some flash drive cases but unfortunately it's too big. I might just distribute some flash drives with seemingly sensitive files, and see how efficient they are.
Depending on what kind they are, there was a near ancient tool I used to use for SanDisk.
You were able to edit the firmware and insert small executables and shell code. It was great!
Called U3-Pwn and was used, obviously, for the U3 exploit.

I like this idea would be interesting to see how many people try to find them all.
