Hi there,
This is my first post on this website and hopefully something can come of it :).
My ultimate goal is to become successful and wealthy, success being the most important. I measure success in happiness; I believe that being happy is more important than being wealthy. However, wealth is a key to success, as it eliminates a lot of unneeded stress, but I can also appreciate stress as a motivation tool and something that is required to achieve success. I'm extremely hardworking and will give 200% to whatever I do and go at it non-stop until I succeed... The only issue here is, I am unemployed and pretty much broke with absolutely no idea where to begin. I am 19 years old and intend to change my circumstances one way or another.
I understand that I'll have to work a job temporarily if I cannot find a way to create startup funds to begin my journey down the path to success, but I was hoping that somebody here could stick their hand out to me and jump-start this journey by guiding me and teaching me. I understand this is something that people pay for and even feel 'cheeky' asking for such a thing, however, I believe this single post is a step in the right direction and could possibly birth something fantastic.
So, would anybody like to be a mentor to a potential golden goose? ;)
Thanks a lot,
Scaryzu

This is all going to be an assumption on my behalf so pardon and correct me if i'm wrong,
You're 19 years old and you have absolutely no skills, find a sector you want to grow in because there are many paths you can follow.
No money? Try an unemployment office, get a job.
99% of everyone on this forum is like you and all they do is browse on this forum and post 'im soooo bored or I don't know what I can or should doooo' <- lazy bums with no skills.

I have great communication skills, I'm great at influencing others and persuasion (helpful in sales/getting myself into good situations), I would also consider myself an expert in social media marketing (I have had massive success in this field 2 years ago - spent all earnings as I had no experience with $), I am also a quick learner.
Start at the bottom like everyone else did originally. Don't be one of these people who think that they are way over-qualified to work a 9-5 as a store clerk and that they are entitled to earning thousands of dollars a week just because they believe that they have that potential in themselves.
Do what the above poster said. Go to an unemployment office and look for a job. Always have a Plan B, don't be looking for shortcuts to success when you aren't even employed.

Listen mate, I landed the job I have today by emailing the CEO of the company and asking to go to coffee. The first thing you need to do is sell yourself. Go out to the real world and make your start then come back here when you have a foundation.

Step 1: Get a job ( a 9 to 5 ) not an hocus pocus internet job that doesn't exist. ( or a part time job if you go to school )
Step 2: Learn the value of money and how hard you have to work in order to get it. This will learn you not to spend every dime you have on every dumb idea you get in your head.
Step 3: Once you have worked a couple of years and were smart enough to save money, you can look into starting your own venture. ( whatever the hell that may be )
Right now you're too young, too ambitious, too dumb and definitely not qualified to do anything on the internet.
Good luck.

Just try and a be a little more kind, dont call him dumb, that's degrading.
well it's not meant to be degrading but I also believe in tough love, I don't wanna cuddle people into hopes and dreams or give them a false sense of reality. I'm not the type that says hey you'll make it buddy hang in there, I say it exactly how it is.
See most people on this forum may have found a little niche or a product that they can sell and make money from. And here you are looking at them thinking..
- Why can't I do something like that?
- Why can't I sell a product and start my own business online?
- Man I wish I could be those guys
Here is why they can do it and make it ''appear'' to be successful, here's reality..
- They have no respondsibilities
- They live at their parents (no responsibility)
- They don't have any bills to pay (no responsibility)
- They have all the time in the world (no responsibility)
- They real reason why they can do it is because their mommy and daddy allowes it/makes it possible for them to jerk around until real life hits them in the face when it's time to move out. Suddenly their netflix sales or their fucking jerk off pictures they sell become obsolete.
If you can manage to find 1 job you're already out performing each of these people on hackforums, handsdown all of them.

At first, I thought you were a little bit of a dick, but I really appreciate this post. I have no issue with finding a job, however, I really do not plan on working until I'm 65... I had a taste of success in 2016, where I had an online business that did really well, making almost 6 figures in the space of 2 months; this sounds like absolute bullshit, but it's true, and due to my arrogance and little respect for money, I managed to spend everything I had on utter shit within the space of a year. I disagree with your "unqualified to work on the internet" comment, but I agree with everything else.
What I am looking for is another income stream, on top of the job in which I will soon have (hopefully!) to add to my starting capital to build the business with an idea in an untapped market, which I am extremely passionate about.

So 2 years ago when you were 17 years old, seeing you're 19 now. You made almost $100,000 dollars in less than 2 months time?
So from the time of when you were 17 to now 19, you completely wasted ''all'' of your ''money''?
Yep that is a complete bullshit story.

Find something better to do with your time other than being jealous of other people's accomplishments.
@OP Have you tried trading? Whether Stocks, Commodities or any other asset class?
A lot of what Zoomer says is true, but working a bullshit job for X years will give you no skills other than responsibility and maybe money management. You're still young, I assume you live on your parent's paycheck (which is not to be ashamed of), take advantage of that and learn as much as you can now. At this age, you're able to take risks with your money because if you fail, you aren't out on the fucking streets.
Assuming what you said is true about your earlier ventures, it doesn't make sense to me why you would just stop after making so much money in such a short amount of time. It also doesn't make sense to me why you wouldn't do anything in the 2 years in-between. It also doesn't make sense to me why you wouldn't use those skills you previously had to do something again now. Get a job to build capital and in the meantime, there are several online ventures you can start with very minimal upfront costs + you can continuously learn from online resources.

You are a bloody retard who didn't even read his initial post, he has no skills in any kind other then some social media. Go predict cough gamble your futures and stocks see how that works out for you in life.
But you two actually suit eachother, both delusional.
Yikes -3 i'm quivering!

''oooooh he -3'' repped me'' bro you made my day, you just proved me and everyone else what a delusional fool you are.
You seemed somewhat mature and logical at first but you just lost it there, don't pick fights on a forum.
And you're calling institutional investments a gamble as if it were a casino game where the house always wins, there goes your credibility as well.
