Hello everyone
Let me get right to the problem: for my thesis, I have to use a specific program that uses a WIBU-BOX/U+ dongle, together with a licence file that is put in a specific folder. Without either one (and the two are linked together), the program won't run. There is a dongle at my work place, as well as a licence available, but after regular office hours, I can't use the dongle anymore (one licence costs about 2,500 euros and the company won't issue another dongle).
The program is run through a batch command, which initiates a cascade of one main Java program and tons of other smaller Java programs, I guess. For the record: I know absolutely nothing about Java, so I'm quite embarrassed asking this question here. So there's this batch file, which starts a Java program. This Java program starts a lot of different other Java programs/sequences, jars and classes ... Among which the licence and dongle check.
If the dongle is not inserted, or the licence is not present where it's supposed to be, forget about using the program: an error will occur and the batch cmd will shut down.
There are 3 versions:
The licence file has a .lc$ extension, with $ replaced by an "s", and is a mess full of unknown-character squares and other stuff when opened in notepad. Can't find any program to read it.
I've also looked into emulating the dongle, without success: I'm not prepared to pay hundreds of bucks to get an emulator for the dongle.
So the next logical step, is to look into the program itself, and make it bypass the security checks (lcs file, more specifically the expiration date; and the dongle).
I know I ask a lot with this question, but would someone be so kind to help me in making the program run when security measures are not met? I'm getting quite desparate and my thesis deadline is imminent.
Here's a WeTransfer link with the program and some licence files: we[dot]tl/t-1nQHzTZaDe
The password of the zip is my username without even numbers.
The zip file is only intended for registered members here and its contents are meant purely for educational purposes. 😅
Where is the licence folder? 0 - APP < PM°D < Pr0p€rties < syst€m < lc$
How do you start the program? 0 - APP < Start < Windows_13mei2013 < RünPm0d_(128/2).bat (or RünPm0d_(128/4).bat)
All java files are inside the folders PM°D and PM°D < java.
Sorry for the messed up names and the password, but I have to saveguard myself somewhat.
Thank you very much in advance,

There are 3 versions:
- Someone managed to obtain a program course version. This version (so a folder which contains all the miserable stuff needed to run the program) has all functionalities, but one problem: it only works on a specific date (13 May 2013). Yes, I could change my system date and order the batch file to do so, and reset it after a few seconds, but 2 problems: the program rechecks about every 4 minutes, and if the system date is reset then, the program will issue the infamous "licence expired" error, and will shut down; additionally, if I leave my system date to the needed date, lots of internet pages won't work correctly (understandable). This version works without a USB dongle.
- There's a trial version. This is basically the exact same as the normal program. The folders are exactly the same, the only difference is the licence file. Problem: it only lasts 60 days. This version works without a USB dongle, but still requires a lcs file (which allows for 60 days of testing without saving).
- The normal version, of which I do have the correct licence file, but not the dongle at all times.
The licence file has a .lc$ extension, with $ replaced by an "s", and is a mess full of unknown-character squares and other stuff when opened in notepad. Can't find any program to read it.

- "0 - APP.zip" has the full program inside. The licence file included is the licence file which doesn't require a dongle, but does require the system date to be set tot 13 May 2013.
- 3 licence files included: (TRIAL), (KEY NEEDED), and (DATE NEEDED). When the (TRIAL) licence file replaces the original licence file, a trial period of 60 days (or now already less days) is started, full functionalities, without the ability to save; when the (KEY NEEDED) licence replaces the licence file, the full program is available, without the need for system date change, but with need for the dongle; the (DATE NEEDED) licence file is the same licence file as is already in the licence folder of the program in the zip archive. To replace the licence file, remove "(TRIAL/KEY NEEDED/DATE NEEDED)" from the licence file name, and copy the file to the licence folder, replacing the licence file that is already there.
The password of the zip is my username without even numbers.
