Need advice on building a new PC

I've never built a PC before and I'm looking into building a new gaming desktop and I've essentially picked all the expensive parts cause why not

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tghD7W

Am I missing anything?

Also, am I way over killing it? I'm not really looking for a monster of a rig but I figure if I get something like this, I wont have to upgrade for a few years.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Any reason why you went for a 8700k?
Because I don't know what I'm doing when it comes to this kind of stuff.

any specific budget ?
What games do you plan to play? You don't need big models for fish games.
You’re going a bit overkill for an average rig, you could definitely go cheaper on your cou and you options. I currently have an i5-4690k with a gtx960 4g ssc (these are more expensive now though than when I purchased my gpu, because of bitcoin miners). This runs most if not all of my games on max settings at a smooth 60 fps

Edit- the ram you picked is good though. Ok me if you need any more in depth help
Yeah, it's an overkill. The i7-8700k is one of the best gaming CPUs on the market, but you're pairing it with a mid-range video card. Personally, I'd do the following:

-Go with AM4 motherboard and Ryzen 5 2600. The Ryzen is ~$150 cheaper and only marginally slower than the 8700k.
-Ditch the liquid cooling, it's a meme unless you're going to overclock. Even then Ryzen's stock cooler is actually really good, and a cheap Cooler Master would still probably do the trick for Intel.
-Get a 2TB HDD and a cheap 128GB SSD instead of going straight 500GB SSD. Games are huge these days and that 500GB is going to be full in no time. SSDs are only getting cheaper so a high capacity SSD would be a nice future upgrade.
-Spend money you saved and get a 1070/1080 or wait for the 2070/2080.
Changed it up a bit, better gaming performance overall and a little cheaper.
You may want to wait for the 2070 to release before buying the 1070Ti, we are waiting on benchmarks to hit...
Also get windows from kinguin for like $25....
