Laptop Sony Vaio with i5 CPU,4gb ram 400gb space lags when wifi opened

A friend of mine told me that her pc laggs after some time for no absolute reason , 4 different "computer specialists" told her its an HDD issue , nobody changed it though lmao they just over-installed windows again and again.

Now it has Win 10 64 bit on a 4gb ram system, i opened it , runs fast , opens everything fast , not very heated even after a long use but when i open the Wi-Fi it makes a freaking sound after 10 minutes like its gonna begin flying to space and it laggs. I thought okay might be infected?
Tried opening Windows defender (it was closed), run a scan , guess what nothing found , so i installed Malwarebytes & same thing nothing found.

what could the issue be? it laggs and over heats with CPU at 99-100% and Disk at 99% only when Wi-Fi opens
Hello there !  🙂

Some malware, like Root Kits, are quite hard to detect, Malwarebytes can not be effective in this case for example  😟
Could you give us more information in order to help you ?

1> To see those statistics, which system monitor do you use ? The integrated of windows, the task manager ?
2> Are you able to identify the processus that consume all of CPU and Disk capacities ?
3> What about the network ? Do you see unusual activity ?
4> Is your system updated ?
5> When you turn on the Wi-fi, is it always on the same network ? Is it a school network, a home network ?

Waiting for your reply

Lagging or really large loading time is a sign of a bad HDD, however, if the computer is not even 3 years old, that's most likely not the problem. I just think its just a bunch of crap running on the background. Check task manager and sort by usage and see what comes out on top. May be worth checking start up items and installed applications. If you need help personally, or what to set up a remote session id be happy to help, im an IT specialist and network admin.
