This is from when contracts were still not as widely implemented, hence no contracts for the transaction with this guy. He is currently banned because of some misunderstanding with Omni, atleast that's what he told me.
So the thing is, a very trusted client of mine, who had bought over $2k worth of service from me had a paypal chargeback for a $50+$40=$90 payment. I am pretty sure it was a stealth paypal and he probably used someone else' CC.
I am broken between the debate of: should I report this guy to his school and mess his academics up, irrespective I lose the paypal review? Or should I just eat the cost and be a some sort of bigger man?
Help me pick a side guys...
It's really up to whether you think he deserves it or not. Try to get into contact with him, see if it was a misunderstanding or something. Or at least fight it and wait until you see if you lose or not before trying to fuck his shit up.
I think your user title will inspire your final answer.
I would personally try my best to get the funds back from the chargeback, but other than that I would leave it be.
being a bigger man is putting a little man in his place

The client faked to be a US marine who is deployed and is taking online classes. Hence I went out of my way to help him. Hence the light rage from my side about this incidence.

This slight push towards being kind is actually making me want to just leave it. Thanks man.
Report him to his school, stop being light on scammers. They deserve to have their life fucked up.

Imo he should be taught a lesson, or he’ll probably go and scam other people. same thing happened to me where a dude (previously hf member who also got banned by omni) pulled lies out of his ass for months and scammed a shit ton from me. I was proxy selling for him so i ended up having to refund everyone from my own pocket. These are pathetic scum people
In reality, what all would his school do seeing as this was something that took place off-campus on his free time? In my honest opinion, I don’t think they would do anything short of possibly notifying law enforcement of your claim.

Lol. Dude got his last 2 semester's worth of credits because of my work, not his own. What I am providing might be seen as unethical, but I am not taking $$ away from anyone's pockets nor am I harming anyone.
This guy literally scammed someone else by using their card, so now its between me and that person where as he is enjoying his credits from school without any issues.

Well if he is an avid scammer he deserves the report.
Imo pathetic scammers deserve whatever comes to them.

If he’s a kid, I say teach him a lesson. I did this once over $2. They really learn fast and won’t do it again.
Plus, it’s someone else’s credit card on the acc. If it was your cc, wouldn’t you want this kid fucked up?
