SIX-FIGURE LIFE STYLE - $400,000 IN MY BANK - True Business/Marketing Success - AMA!

What's up guys.

If you don't know me, I've been on this forum for just about 10 years now.  Joined in 2009.  Next June will be my 10th year anniversary.

I mention that, because much to the thanks of these forums, I've become a small-time business/marketing mogul.

I started out with Instagram/SM marketing when I first got on here (as well as some other stuff, like programming, development, etc, but that's a different story).  I've been growing on those areas and also branching out.

Here is ONE of my accounts as of this morning:

So I've had much of my success in the Instagram marketing area.  It started out several years back, when I dedicated myself to learning about how to market a page and really manage and grow it.  I developed a name for myself in some communities and had a few successful pages of my own.  Because of that, I had a small time hip-hop artist reach out to me and offer me about $200 to manage his account per month.  Not a bad start.  Because of that, I took the money and realized I could do so much more with this shit.  I dedicated myself to this area, honed my craft, and kept going.

Here is the deposits from the last month or so.

Since then, I've undergone HUGE success in the marketing area.   Because of that, I decided to turn around and reinvest my money in some other areas.

One of the first things was a family member's service business in his local area.  I did the research and developed a good business plan for him.  After launch, he had clients and was pulling in revenue out the wazoo.  Luckily, I was experienced with scaling and included that in his plan.  This also gave me huge experience in the local marketing areas.  I still get my cut from this even though I'm not really super active in helping him out these days.  On the image above, it's the HouseCall Pro deposit, if you were wondering.

These two things, plus a few of my own personal projects that I've been able to invest time into, have given me a huge success that I am thankful for, and that I also owe a lot of my thanks to HF for.

The lifestyle of having the amount of money you want is amazing.  First of all, as some of you may know I've been traveling the world living where I want for the past year or so.  Second of all, I fucking love food.

Here is a picture of me with my girl at a 5-star resort/restaurant about 3/4 months ago or so?

That was right before we got our bottle of wine.  Should have taken a nice cheers picture, aye?   Hahaha.

On top of that, I've taken a bit of time to settle down.  Here is the view from the top of my condo currently:

My condo is actually one thing I'm super proud of - tons of amenities in this association, pool access, weight-room/gym access, a nice mall super near by, and a million other things that just make life convenient.

Well guys, I'm loving it.  And I feel like answering some questions because questions are good for self-reflection.  I like self-reflection.  I also don't mind answering all the questions you could have about Instagram marketing.  So ask away :)
I hear a lot about IG Account Management and how it pays quite well. How do you market yourself and by that I mean do you reach out to these pages or do they reach out to you? Are you charging these clients monthly or is it different with everyone? I know quite a bit about Social Media growth so I have been thinking of getting into it.

Marketing yourself comes down to two things. If you are new to the game, you should probably have your own page and make it clear you are a "manager/promoter/influencer" and include a business email. At that point, you want to make as many connections as possible. You can wait for people to reach out to you or you can reach out to others. The biggest thing IS CONNECTIONS/NETWORKING. You need to get yourself out there and message other people. It never hurts to just shoot someone an email, leave comments on other's pages, and so on. Other than that, just have a successful page and wait - and once you're successful you can do whatever you want with that page (sell it, trade it, etc) and work off references if you want. Once you have a name or proof of success you're usually good to go, but it's a never ending game.

As for charging, it's all done differently. But typically I'm paid to manage accounts. So it depends, but it's usually a monthly charge.

The biggest thing if you're trying to break into this: ALWAYS BE LEARNING.

If you find someone who is great at something, do whatever you can to learn from them.
Congratulations mate. That's awesome.

As a fellow 2009 member to another, hello. Seriously though kudos - you've succeeded. I love to see that.

If you don't mind me asking, did you live at your parent/s house while working with this & did they support you?
Did they help with financial stuff? Anything else? Or did you start at 0 and worked your way up yourself?
I am just curious. Neither is proof that you're less deserving of what you've accomplished.
You have clearly put in a great effort and dedication and you climbed up each time you fell down.

Again kudos my friend - truly happy for you! Keep the great work up and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Going a bit Off-Topic but speaking about 2009(registered date), seems to be gone in the profile?
Is there a thread discussing why it got removed?/Something similar? I for one would like to see it get added back.

My parents helped me out absolutely 0 financially.  I have a degree in Business that I got on my own time/money (which seems kind of pointless now, but oh well).  They didn't help me with college at all.  They didn't help me with my own business ventures at all.  Did I live with them growing up?  Yes.  But as for money they've personally given me to further my life?  None.  I started at, essentially, 0. Hell, I even saved up for my first laptop, then my first PC, all on my own. Anytime I mentioned what I was doing online they'd just nod their heads and smile or give me reasons why it'd be better to just get a job at a retail store or some shit, lol.

And yeah I noticed that about the join date, you can only see someone's join date by clicking their profile now.  Seems wierd.
Everyone loves these success stories. Great job. Keep earning and building your business. Make your family proud.

I'm not saying you would have been less worthy of the fruits if you had help. I am simply curious about how you started. And thanks for sharing!
And I am glad you grew up living with your parents. That is not something to take for granted. And I had a feeling you started at 0.

Well done on the degree. Surely it wasn't pointless though I get what you're saying 😏
I have a feeling you eaisly adapt yourself to your surroundings, which is great and not a quality of the majority.
Though I can't say if that has helped you or not but I think it has.

And starting at 0 and turning it into what it is today - amazing. I'm really happy for you.
I wish you all the best of luck in the future!
These are the bragging rights threads worth reading. Congratulations and keep it up.

Ah shit.  Thanks Omni.  So much of my success is owed to you my man.  I honestly don't think I'd be anywhere without the amount of knowledge I've learned off your forum.  I've written about that sort of thing here before.  Started out with programming, found my way into marketing/social media, and have been learning more and growing ever since.  Not to mention your success has always been a huge motivator.   Cheers.   🎉

Indeed. You are a good example. Speaking of business, if you don't mind me asking - do you have any plans to launch another project?
Say a gaming community, a forum targeted at something different - anything? And same thoughts to you Omni, keep up the great work.
And kudos. You've done a lot and you surely deserve all the fruits of your labor, I wish you and your family the very best.

Oh, yeah, definitely.  And I'm also definitely not trying to say that my parents did nothing.  They taught me so much as well, about work ethic, thinking outside the box, creativity, and so much more.  They also gave me a lot of reasons to keep going - family is a bond that holds people together after all.

Yeah the degree I got is like... eh.  Sometimes I feel like I shouldn't have wasted money on that.  Other times it's like, well, you know, I have a degree - and that's one  thing that won't ever go away, even if all my money did for some reason.  I'll always have my education.

Thanks man!
Your story is very similar to mine, though I'm still trying to break into opening a local business. I have a few ideas, but still thinking on them. I like to plan everything in advance. There's tons of money to be made locally and local marketing is so freaking easy. Enjoyed the read, thanks for the write up.
