Stock Market is falling -> as a result crypto market too? Why

Let's say i'm completely new into all this stock/crypto investing section, i've been using crypto currencies since my 15-16 when i had like 43 BTC in my wallet by selling Skins in games and cashed them all out at that young age and spent them on a variety of shit. Now at my 20s after crying a bit lmao that i could be almost a millionaire (i wouldn't hold them until 19K obviously) i got into trading/investing and reading about this as it amazes me and its quite interesting for me.

I just noticed today that all the stock market is down and for a some reason so is the crypto one.
My question is : how those two are so related? why is this happening to the crypto as well?
Could someone explain?
I don’t see them correlated at all. Crypto is volatile in general.

Furthermore, 100-200 mil can swing the crypto markets compare that to the stock market where billions are needed to affect the market. It’s called market depth and the crypto market has sadly no depth until regulation is put into place

How come they both fall though at the same time? a coincidence ?

Btc crashed towards end of day. It was managing to stay up while the market was falling then it followed. I don’t know if its related.

Also - sure it’s been a red week, but they just raised the interest rate and the mid term elections are near. Stock market always dips when this stuff happens. No one knows if it’s gonna keep going or not.
There is so much manipulation in the market right now. Everything held up fine yesterday while the stock market was crashing, until that 20 min window opened and the bulls were dumping.
These exchanges should be cracking down on fraud manipulation but all they care about is charging fees and making their money.

Like you wouldn't do that yourself if you had Binance for example making tons of thousands daily if not millions.
I would personally look my fees as well.
There isn't much of a direct relationship. If you follow both, you'll notice over time, that this is true.
It was literally expected some explosive movement up/down.
i don't think that everyone who invested in any coin should be afraid to loose some...
remember that it drops now but it will have to go up again sooner or later so no worries!
chill and watch the magic happen

I've seen my investments go down 90% before they could pick up and make me some profit. So for anyone who doesn't have a stomach to see that, you shouldn't be trading on this market.. You can see what happens.. :D

There isn't a direct relationship, but the stock market is pretty big so when there is panic there it would effect other markets, including cryptos. It wasn't just cryptos that got effected, real estate was effected as well as some commodities (Oil/Gas), USD Index and so on..

Generally speaking all markets are connected in one way or another.

From what I have noticed it has inverse relationship with USD index, take a look at this chart:

The chart is USD index, the candles in white circle = entire 2017, and as you may know.. 2017 was probably the best year for cryptos
As u can see it was trending downwards,, while cryptos + stocks were trending upwards and also you can see in the far left of the chart, in 2014, USD index was trending upwards ( cryptos was having its worst year in 2014 )

You can read more about it here = https://stockcharts.com/school/doku.php?...t_analysis
Because everything in this world are connected. Like butterfly effect.
I'm calling a dip to 4k-2.5k which then we will find floor if investors still choose to invest in btc over other digital assets. Scalability, Lack of developments, and excess energy consumption may play a major part in the future of bitcoin, if we drop under 4k mining will no longer be profitable for mining pools causing miners to start shutting down. I don't think people who bought highs will be able to stomach further downside volatility which will most likely flood order books with sells where then institutions, and hedge funds will step in to buy at an opportunity for 10x gains. People think the bottoms in but we still haven't retested those breakout levels of 3k. #XRPTHESTANDARD
