Need a device to locate GPS device

I need a device which will detect a hidden gps device which is located somewhere in/on a car.

Does anyone know about such a thing/sells it?

Please PM.
Is this not something you should think of before stealing what does not belong to you ?

In general such devices, for the consumer market anyways, work with a prepaid simcard. Over the regular 2g/3g etc. phone network.
But unless you know the number, you can only try and scan for the frequency when active.
Human stupidity : Buying something they have no clue about, and then ask if they wasted their money.

Yes, need something to scan the gps frequency with.
Have similar devices to scan for bugs in houses offices etc but for car dont have.

And your comment about 'stealing'. You have no idea what business I am into and jumping immediately into 'theft' is wrong.
what about these?

Interesting! Will check out, thanks for you reply.
Hehe
He could just be wanting to scan his own vehicle that is no crime.

If this is a vehicle gps trackers are not typically installed in entirely inconspicuous places. I would first do a manual search for the device.

A decent tracker not hooked into a power source will not be too small to point out.

But EMF devices are useful, you just may need a pretty decent one since some GPS can give us such a small signal that most emf may have a hard time picking them up.
Hmm, GPS sends nothing at all it only receives signals and then calculates the position ...
You need to scan for 2g/3g networks like @Xycon wrote, to get the location of the sending mechanism.
Then you need to travel the path to the GPS receiver.
By giving off signal I mean power reading that the emf would pickup,

And PS by good emf reader I mean a thousand + $ one

So most reasonable option is search vehicle manually
