If you want make money, you need to focus on improving these variables. All of these variables will make you money. Most often, than not, they're inter-linked.
The way this thread works is that I will explain what it's about, then what you can do to improve it.
It's important that you utilise these variables. The rich are able to command all of these to make money. The poor only utilise 1-2. That's why they're mostly poor, they don't play all their cards.

The use their brain to make money. They're constantly learning through research and interaction. There are no immediate returns on reading. The rich don't get paid $0.05 per page in a book. Indirectly, they do.
Most often than not, the rich specialise than diverge out into other fields. That's their knowledge expanding. Think about all the rich people who have essentially changed fields.
Bill Gates: Worked at Microsoft for decades. This wasn't where he made most of his money, but it gave him the start he needed. Now he's into philanthropy, medicine, politics. All because he had knowledge.
Donald Trump: Developed buildings in Manhattan. He hasn't built anything for decades, but does that mean we've stopped hearing about him? He's diverged into television, merchandise, branding, sports (golf clubs) and politics. I believe he will make billions after the presidency when he decides to sell his biography and do post-presidential activities.
Clearly, there's something to be said for knowledge. Why don't the poor grow their knowledge then?
There's a correlation between intelligence and incomes. A theory could be that the poor are too stupid to learn and do research. But giving up is for the lazy (also typically the poor). Persistence is key.
If you want to grow your knowledge, you must start reading. Read books. Read websites. Learn intuitively as well. Learn practically as much as theory. But don't neglect one for the other.

Communication is an important factor to making money. The rich and powerful are effective communicators. They're able to issue a command that gets executed.
Communication doesn't just mean the transfer of language using your mouth. It means being able to have a grasp on language and write impeccably. It means being able to interpret words and know their meaning. It's about being able to be charismatic. It's about being able to be answer questions. It's about being able to write a plan.
Are you finally starting to understand the importance of communication?
Communication errors have resulted in some terrible mistakes historically...
Mars Mission Failure: This was essentially a failure of communication. A space probe called the Mars Climate Orbiter failed because of a unit error. This is a failure in communication. NASA used metric units while Lockheed Martin used imperial units. This is a failure in interpretation, communication, lack of clarity. If NASA and Lockheed Martin communicated among each other clearly, this mistake would not have occurred.
Battle of Balaclava: This is an old war from Crimea. There was a miscommunication among the British who sent their soldiers into the wrong direction, under fire, where they were slaughtered. If the chain of command communicated more clearly, 110 deaths would have not occurred.
You can improve your communication skills by learning new words, randomly Googling definitions (I do this a lot!), reading books. Change your speaking habits by removing slang. Improve your writing by learning proper grammar conventions and spelling. This will all go a long way in improving your communication skills. This will make you rich.

The rich have experience. Nobody has ever gotten rich or maintained wealth without experience. Experience isn't something that's specific. It can range a whole load of activities, but most people have a specialised topic they're especially experienced within.
Experience is important in obtaining riches. It is similar to knowledge, but in a more practical sense. If you have years of experience, you have greater on the ground knowledge but also understanding of theory.
Ponder this scenario... if you were having surgery, would you want someone fresh out of university to work on you or someone with 30 years experience? I think we all know the answer to that.
If you want to improve your experience, specialise. Get a trade, degree, stick at a job for years. Do whatever it takes to make you smart a particular topic. You will be sought out. You will be rewarded for your dedication and knowledge.

The rich are masters of currency. But what is currency? It's not the same as money, despite the masses believing so.
"the fact or quality of being widely accepted and circulated from person to person." - dictionary.com
The rich dominate currency. They utilise currency intelligently. They invest it around the economy, they create jobs, they use it to control.
A poor person complains about their currency losing 1-2% annually by inflation. When was the last time you heard about a rich person complaining about some of the lowest inflation levels in decades?
A rich person understands the market and why things are they way they are. It's not because of someone pulling the strings behind the scenes. It's not the Jews. It's not evil old white men. It's institutions ingrained through our economy and government.
Rich people make currency work for them. A poor person works for currency.
Rich people leverage and invest. A poor person spends.
There's no amount of money needed to get rich. Anyone can invest. Bonds are safe and can give good returns. Real estate as well. Read my other thread on it.

Time is something that we will never get back. How the poor and rich utilise time is entirely different.
A poor person exchanges time for a fixed sum of money. Rich people don't do that. The rich have a plan for their day, but can be dynamic. They're not pulling a switch at a machine, they own that machine. They make that machine work for them.
The rich plan out their day and stick with it. When was the last time you heard of any poor people you know that had a plan? They don't. They go with the flow. I find that type of swishy-swoshy behaviour to be unacceptable.
The poor work for a specified amount of time then do whatever. The rich constantly work, whether it's indirectly or not.
While the poor complain about 8 hours of work not paying enough, the rich put their money to work, 24 hours a day. Instead of making $7.50 x 8 hours, the rich make at least $7.50 for 24 hours work. Who's calling for $15 again? Oh, the lazies.
If we prescribe to the 8 hours of work, 8 hours of recreation, 8 hours of rest theory then people have 8 hours before and after work to research. They should be using this time to be productive, not party around and do nothing.
Time above all else, is what matters. The sooner you dominate it, and take action, the richer you'll be.
