Upgrade Sale and Price Changes

This weekend we're working on adding Stripe as a payment option and member will be able to upgrade with Credit Cards. We will also be offering subscription based L33t. Be aware that the BEST deal will be to pay with crypto for a one-time payment. Those choosing to do subscriptions will only save money in the short-term.

L33t is likely to be $30 for one-time payment and $20 for 6-month subscriptions. That's with Stripe. If you pay with crypto it will be slightly reduced.

I figured since this is going to be active within a few days that it's a good time to offer an upgrade sale.

So those who want to get upgraded at the best possibly price. Now is the time.

$20 L33t
$40 r00t

Offer will be removed on Monday.

Thank you.
When you got no spare $$ left and just decided to upgrade for r00t next month.
Rip me :)
Great deal on the upgrades.
Is this the first time since upgrade was limited to crypto that actually cash is accepted (credit)?

Really nice to see - hopefully we see some upgrade contests on HF in the mean time.
Nice! I think that by adding credit cards as a checkout option we'll see a lot more upgraded users.

Will it also be possible to buy awards through Stripe? Or will they stay crypto only? Just wondering.
a very nice addition, i have seen several members ask about CC payments so it will will be nice to see a increase in upgraded members.
Great update omni
Exciting stuff Omni. This is a heck of a deal and stripe will definitely be a good thing. Get upgraded people, it's the best thing ever!

I will not be accepting credit cards (Stripe) for anything except the L33t upgrade. Awards, stickies, r00t, and any other payments on the site will be crypto only. I want to offer credit card option for new members to get l33t who might not yet be familiar with crypto or the community.

Aha, got it. I think that's the best way to keep it either way.
Aw kinda sad that you're not accepting Stripe for awards :(
But I can see why though, a lot of money you could potentially lose if people dispute payments.
still for the root upgrade, its still require to have more then 100 reps right?
Darn. Kinda sucks how old members in UB3R can't upgrade to R00T. Kinda not fair in a sense since UB3R members have been here longer and get left out of certain features. But I get that whole "general mentality of UB3R members" thing. Sad how a few can ruin it for the rest. lol

It was a problem before having members donate for awards then 3 months later they would reverse it. I can't operate that way.

Correct.
