7Zip Lost Password Help

I know this is the lounge, I am not sure where to post this. I lost the password to 2 7zip files that I need if there's a way to recover them.
I have tried to use hashcat and have no luck. I could be doing something wrong but there's not much help on their forums. I think I know part of the password but I am not sure.

The files have personal info in them that I could really use. The password is between 8 and 12 chars.

Am I just wasting my time looking for a way?
Have you clicked forgot password? 😏

hashcat/john are what I would recommend, generally this is what I would do :

1) create list of possible passwords (misspell them hit keys around assume a mistake occurred when inputting the password)
2) Using Rules (This may have to happen)

Unfortunately this isn't like an encrypted payload/stub/RAT so that password is not going to be extracted from memory, instead without the password no decryption will occur. So cracking is a good bet, there are some side channel attacks but I am sure 1/4 of a billion years it's the same end result you won't be able to use it still, as we and our great x8 grand children will be dead as well.
Hello guys!
I have the same problem! I lost my password and it contains a lot of wallet files!
Any chance bypassing it or only way is cracking? ^^
i think Brute forcing is the only solution, i'm not sure tho good luck hope you fix this ASAP
