Currency Exchange

Scammed $2000 Minus9 (UID- 3055995)= (Self created imposter by him)

Smartest scam till now on HF.

I request everyone to please read this carefully and please pm me I’ll clear your doubts asap.

User = “Minus9” Link = https://hackforums.net/marketcp.php?acti...id=3055995

His Imposter username =  “Minus9”  Changed now to “SteveBale”

Link = https://hackforums.net/member.php?action...id=1815602

(Both are people are same, I’ll prove it the end)

This is related to Currency exchange scam.

Story :- I was dealing with user “Minus9” for his $2000 bitcoin and for my $2100 PayPal. (5% in his favour) since the amount is big I told him I need 48 hours to fulfil this order completely because I can’t send big amount as a gift with PayPal in one go. this may give impact on both accounts (Limitations, under review) and just to be safe side.

So, Minus9 has sent $2000 to my blockchain wallet and I paid him $300 in Paypal right after I got payment in blockchain. After this I told me to wait for rest of the payments in parts as discussed before with him already.

NOW FOCUS HERE.

POINT 1.  After 10-15 mins later from the 1st part payment which I sent to him $300, I got one Pm with same username “Minus9” Imposter

Asking for refund  1st PM:-  Are you able to send me back $1000?
Just need $1000 exchanged :(

https://gyazo.com/4e3e746e115a4a77cff3dae5ec757acb
(Focus In this pm, User has provided the bitcoin transaction id also)

2nd pm  :- Can you send $1,000 back?
I ignored his first Private message but after few mins later I got second message.

https://gyazo.com/b8db28e9dba98c747aa19d189c948d57

3rd PM :- Please, I really need that $1000 back.
We can deal for another $1000 tomorrow.

https://gyazo.com/9f4ebb1a5f812c31cf9954fb96171d4c
So, I replied him I can’t refund btc since all deals are final (Which is clear mentioned in my exchanger thread =  terms and conditions )

4th Pm :-
I know, But I am not asking for full refund. We can deal for $1,000 now and the rest $1000 tomorrow.
If you want, Send me $1000 out of $1100 ($100 profit) for you. I'll loose my membership if I didn't got $1000.

https://gyazo.com/13e828a603000e6650ec4e7a2e1c9678

So here he offered me $100 if I will refund me $1000 right now in btc but since I have other order to process also I told me I can do $950 and for rest balance he will get in Paypal according to exchange deal.

5th Pm :- Sounds fair.
Send $950 here:
1LEazPkcBSfBGy4oQtQd5nNcES6GsHHadF

https://gyazo.com/c06dc171fe729c41b805884856933aac

So, Since he agreed for $950 back in btc and rest in PayPal exchange.
I refunded him $950

Transaction id :-
https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/c1ce6c...cb2a12effb

6th Pm : -
If you don't mind can you deduct another $150 and send me rest via btc?
Received 1st payment tho.

https://gyazo.com/424a69818071cdb74f4521f8d120e84b

Now here again he offered me another $150 if I will refund me rest of the balance in btc instead of Paypal.

So, I replied him I can refund maximum of $550 worth of btc for full deal

7th Pm :-
Let's just send 550 here:
1LEazPkcBSfBGy4oQtQd5nNcES6GsHHadF

https://gyazo.com/0b28cd882f3b3957744f3020156c978f

So, I sent him $550 worth of btc and deal closed.

Transaction id :- https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/057b70...07675a0ce8

==========================================

It looks like a normal scam report thread ? = NO wait !
Here is the SUPER twist.

Points that will prove that he created his own imposter and scammed me. 99%

Point 1.
Right after I sent him $300 payment in PayPal within 8-12 mins I got the Pm from imposter.
(All pre-planned, No one can do this without pre-preparations. Extremely fast actions)

Point 2.
How imposter knows that I told him to process his payment in parts within 48hours. That’s why imposter asked for $1000 refund (first) not full, because I already sent him $300 in paypal.

Point 3.
On Skype user has force me to enter my btc address in contract instead of pm.
But I’ve not entered in contract. So, he had mentioned my btc address in contract. (VERY SMART MOVE) MAIN POINT
https://gyazo.com/e9d804a90b07c0e220f90609b1bf8081

Point 4.
Same login and logout time of both hf profiles. (Imposter and him)
Video = https://streamable.com/0n4d9

Point 5.
The user took nearly 20 mins to send contract even after I told him that, I'll pm my BTC, address, not in the contract. Even after that he posted my address in contract.
https://gyazo.com/8306532025af07f7f6f9c67582cd8472

Point 6.
The user has another 5 contracts which are all private but this exchange contract he made (Public) and forcefully mentioned my btc address.
He did exchanges with other people also where he initated the contract in private.

Currently I'm doing more investigation on this matter, Hope I will find enough proofs.
Feel free to pm me if you can help me, Thanks.

Oooh, gotta bookmark this to read when I get home. Spicy DDs.

Edit: Just out of curiosity, how didn't you notice the discrepancies in the post count?
Fantastic work HS, detailed and took the time to get to the bottom of it.
Definitely interesting. It seems pretty circumstantial to me, but enough to raise eyebrows

Hmm if you wouldnt mind, sending me the users skype's and all the transaction links etc. Will add it to a list for my own tracking reasons.
I dont know why but i find it extremly odd, someone who hasnt been active in a long time, a 2003 acc with barely any posts wouldve mastered the contract system etc in order to fool you into refunding...
Amazing job bro! Nice detective work here:p

Some members was thinking the same way!

another intresting point is they both have had an intrest in web hosts and server hosts.

The fact both accounts knew the same details of the deal fucks my mind. Not really possible unless same people. The fact pronoucner said both accounts have posted about related content is a key indicator of the account holder's interests too
PM me before you deal

You don't think it's plausible that someone was simply watching the public contracts waiting to find the right target for a scam like this?

By your logic, the same accusation could be pointed at yourself.
Holy shit man, just fucking wow... Very interesting tbh... Had to read twice to fully understand!

Another note, don't leave Contracts public if they are for these large af amounts. A mistake on your part HS. .
ANOTHER NOTE

Both accounts (imposter and member who "got imposterd") both have the same local time. Lollll

So accounts most likely regisrted in same geo. interesting. could be a link perhaps.

im trying to find more on this "SteveBale" kid. It seems he does have friends on HF. but not those that would rat on him.

Why did he ask for 50% refund not full?
Because I've already paid him $300.

Also right after I sent him money $300 in PayPal, Started getting PMS.

He forced me to put blockchain in public, but I didn't
