Facebook completely avoid privacy policy

As BBC announces "Facebook has been caught on the back foot again over its data privacy practices".
Facebook shared access to users' data with other tech firms, including Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Netflix, Spotify and Yandex. It has acknowledged again that it should have prevented third parties being able to tap into users' data, after publicly announcing that it had ended the privilege for security reasons.
I am really interested how long they will continue to lie they don't share users' data without permission? 😠
It's a shame to have such a big privacy fail being one of the most popular social networks.
What do you think about this?
Facebook sucks. Too muck requirements for your profile approvement. Leaved this service several years ago and dont regret.
luckily I don't really use facebook. join me.
They will lie to us, only a really high punishment will help.
Maybe a personal stick would help. Prison for the business leaders

Do you use some other social media platforms instead?

Agree! 😉
well, if they provided a 3rd party service with the information that is available at the public profile page -- it's not so bad, but be ready to spam weaves.
I use Facebook and I notice some very sketchy shit when advertising happens. I would leave but I use it for work.

If I'm looking for news or memes -- I go to Reddit
If I need to chat with someone -- I use Telegram.

Reddit is not the best site for news.

How they can get this punishment you think?
Only if this social network will disappear. Or 90% of users will leave it.
Do you think it's a prison for business leaders? How then?
If it wasn't for Facebook Ads, I wouldn't use the damn thing.

But an audience is an audience I guess.

Maybe one day they will take it too far and businesses will stop using it.

They're the Attention Bank. They own Instagram as well.

No entity is too big to fail honestly, businesses always carry risks and if they have unethical practices, the risk is larger.

All it takes is one stupid lapse of judgement and it could all fall apart

No one can stop this psychopath.

Where is your god now? What God would allow such a man to smoke so much meat?

I've legitimately never seen that video, good laugh

But in honesty, what goes up must come down, it's inevitable that Facebook will fail just like MySpace, but he's not stupid, he doesn't put all his eggs in one basket as you mentioned.

It will be interesting to see if he ever fails

Even then, the entities remain.

Including the smoked meat.

Indeed, you can kill a snake but you have to bury the head, the head being the corporate entity.

He isn't a snake, that wasn't what I intended with this metaphor.
I do however admire his entrepreneurship
