Description
Was trading for a $100 AGC with my $75 BTC. He got payment, added to buddies listme as someone warned me that they got scammed by him, then he blocked me. I can get more proof/evidence later. Screenshots are bad because I am on my work computer, because I am literally working for minimum wage, $80 a day, while doing this.

Other Persons Report: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=5923339

Proof
https://imgur.com/a/n9OlcOn He gave a fake code. He proceeded to tell me it was a UK Code after that.
https://imgur.com/a/WxFYKmS Proof I sent payment. He made a separate deal for 50 more on top of that, so I sent 75 percent to that.
You get scammed too much dude, sorry to hear that. Others are coming out and saying they scammed him as well. Bad timing. Really sorry to hear abt this.

He has a hire B-rating than me too. HF should release all information on scammers so there's a chance to get back at people. I bet if the owner of the site got scammed, while having less than $500 in the bank, he would all of a sudden want to release information.
Too bad this is your second dispute in a short time
Christ sake how many scams are going to happen here.

Older members are scamming people now because they are done with the site and because they probably got scammed, making them scam others, which turns this into a cycle.

Dude has a really bad trust scan. Make sure to check it before any deals man. Looks like a sold account to me.

I don't know. I was rushing to make a report and I think I saw him disputing someone recently where he got scammed, so I believe this was the motivation.

This is the second time I've seen you say some shit like this.
What are you not getting about HF not being responsible for the deals YOU make in the marketplace? You make every deal here at your own discretion, it is NOT up to the site to release info to you about the person who scammed you.
It is up to YOU to do your due diligence when researching people for deals. You're upgraded. Why didn't you look at this guys trust scan? It was garbage. He changed everything today, including disabling 2FA. Anyone with half a brain who would've saw that would've NOPE'd the fuck outta there way fast.
Now, I get you don't make a lot of money and you're sick of being scammed, and I'm sorry you've been scammed twice now in the last few days, but it is up to YOU to do everything you can to not get scammed. Sometimes you run into a piece of shit who decides you're gunna be his first victim on an exit-scam and there's no way you could have known, but use middlemen if that's the case! There's so many ways to go around this rather than being scammed and blaming forum staff for not doing anything about it when (if you read the Help Docs and stickied threads) they are absolutely NOT required to do shit. With contracts, they are banning them from time to time which is nice, but before contracts? It was almost a damn free for all unless they admitted it on site.

tl;dr from my rant: Hire someone to dox them if you want their info so bad. But do not hold forum staff accountable when everything on here says it's all done at YOUR discretion. Thanks.

I only mention it because I believe if enough people mention it or care enough, the staff might take notice and do something like the other forums. Better than not saying anything at all. I am sorry that with my 2 weeks on the forum and being desperate, I haven't mastered the art of knowing who to trust and who not to trust. I don't blame the staff, I just want users to not have to fend for themselves.

Main point of it all:
Quote:Rules for the Marketplace
  1. Hackforums will not be held responsible for deals made by members.

  2. All the trades on Hackforums should be made in the Marketplace section, regardless of content.

  3. We do not allow deals which are associated with credit card, bank, or identity fraud, nor any other type of illegal stock.

  4. The official rules of the forum still apply.

Safe Trading
While we want the safest possible environment for trades, the reality is that Hackforums is an unsafe place to conduct business. The only help we can provide is helpful safety measures and tips. We advise you to read the following Guide To Safe Trading before making any trades.

Scam Reporting
The Scam Reports section is designed to alert other members of scammers. It also can serve to help resolve an issue between members. We can't get your money back or force a member to complete a deal. Do not PM staff. Our staff on occasion will ban a scammer, if the evidence is on site and apparent. If you got scammed, we would appreciate it if you report the scammer by making a thread in the scam reports section, with the following content:
  1. Link to the scammers profile. This is to prevent confusion if a username change occurs.

  2. Link to the thread in question if it exists, where you may have been scammed.

  3. Search Scam Reports area for any existing threads with the scammer. Search by username and also uid. If everyone adds the users profile then UID will be very effective. Include such threads if found.

  4. Post any images/screenshots (or videos perhaps) that you can provide as evidence of the scam. Include short explanation for every image.

Omni bans users now (because of the Contracts system) and occasionally releases IPs/Emails if deemed suitable.

I've never been scammed in the 500+ deals I've done (most done before the contract system)
  • Email/Password/2FA disable on the same day = No deal

  • No 2FA = No deal

  • Deal Disputes = No deal

  • Don't deal in large amounts (especially via. PayPal)

  • Always look at account age. I don't really deal with new users.

  • Also don't really deal with unupgraded users.

  • Latest IP Matching Other Members = 0 (always)

  • I don't really go first anymore, but when you have to, be extra careful and take all factors into consideration 5x

  • Though awards don't == trust, people with more awards have more credibility in my eyes (in low $ deals at least, no one with $1000+ in awards will scam for $50.)

  • F&F only with PayPal (though chargeback is still possible)

  • Vouches on exchange threads are always good.

  • If you have a bad feeling about a user, don't deal with them.
