Dude, just confiscate his xbox.

My parents did this to me when i was playing too much COD on xbox and although I was pissed off for a few days, I got over it.
Discipline is usually the solution.

Put it somewhere where he cant get it because trust me he will look relentlessly, so keep it out of sight.

take the power cord away for his console and hide it in your bedroom :-P
You're his dad not his best friend, man up mate.
Go hire a prostitute for him or something

Uhh is this for real? You better step up and put a boot up his ass OP. My parents always took the power cord to my Xbox when I wouldn’t get off or if I got in trouble. But DDoS’ing your own router so he can’t play? Seems like you need to figure out how to discipline your son. Good luck

agreed
Why so much hate to this that he ask for help, maybey he,s somethimes from home and when he is home he dont wanne troubles in the house, and do it on that way. If his wife see his sone more maybey she let him game, its not hard to change. Help that daddy give him a program or something. I found it cool a dad that wanna hack. Not real but flood his own internet
You will get a lot of troll responses here, i wouldn't take anyone seriously.
IF this is a serious post... then your first problem is you said "he has everything" you spoil him too much.
You do not discipline him, therefore he does not know what it's like to not have such great things.

Sadly this is the generation you live in, i'm 25, have loving parents that gave me mostly everything too.
Luckly i had older siblings to show me "the real world".
Now my older brother has kids and they do the same thing, but he makes them do chores/homework first.

He won't like you for taking away something he loves, or is addicted to. But what addict does? it's the point of breaking addiction.
In his defense, games do help improve your brain cognitive. But if it is resulting in negativity/toxic relationships, then i would be taking away that source immediately.

When he is 18 in a few years, just know your really can't dictate his actions anymore. Either you start now, or you do what your wife does and ignore it and learn to live with it.
Maybe learn to get into with him, see things from a different perspective.
